The Experience

Along the way, discover some of the plants and trees of the northern forest and learn about their natural history, seasonal changes, and traditional uses.

Step inside Birch House and experience the welcoming warmth of a fire, the soft light filtering through the bark, and the beauty of a space crafted from natural materials.

Settle in with a cup of Labrador tea harvested on the island and gently sweetened with maple sugar. Learn about the remarkable craftsmanship of the house, the materials used in its construction, and the traditions of building with bark and wood.

There is time for questions, conversation, quiet reflection, and simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

More than a morning visit, this is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and experience the simple pleasure of gathering around a fire.
