Imagine gathering with friends or family for an evening of warmth, relaxation, and connection in the quiet forests of Madeline Island.

The Experience

Your experience begins with a guided walk through the island's northern forest, where you'll discover some of the trees and plants that make this landscape so remarkable.

Arriving at Birch House, the glow of the fire welcomes you into a beautiful space built from bark and wood. Settle in, enjoy the atmosphere, and leave the pace of everyday life behind.

Then step into the enveloping warmth of a traditional Finnish-style wood-fired sauna. Enjoy the heat, rising steam, and relaxing rhythm of warming and cooling at your own pace.

Between sauna sessions, step outside into the fresh island air. On clear evenings, the stars emerge overhead, and the surrounding forest becomes part of the experience.

Return to the welcoming fire at Birch House, sip island-harvested Labrador tea sweetened with maple sugar, and enjoy unhurried conversation with the people who matter most.

An unforgettable evening of warmth, steam, firelight, and connection.
